A truly unique cut as far as diamonds go, emerald cut diamonds make for fabulous centrepieces on necklaces and earrings with accents all around it. With square facets made into the pavilion of the diamonds in a step-wise manner, the emerald cut actually looks bigger and thus appears to be more sparkly, thanks to its rectangular table. - Pear Shaped Cut :
Another favourite for rings, the pear-shaped cut diamond looks like a teardrop is often used for its slimmer appearance. The overall effect it creates for the piece of jewellery is soft and delicate, a quality that is most often appreciated. They are also often preferred in rings as it lends the hands and fingers the appearance of being slender and slimmer.
