On Friday 1st January 2021, Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (BMCHRC) launched Arogya Dham for the noble cause of helping the needy. A non-commercial arm of KGK Group, BMCHRC has been known as a premier medical centre for the treatment of cancer in Northern India. A non-profit effort to make cancer treatment more accessible to the underprivileged section of society, BMCHRC has added another great service in its list for those who need it the most.
Arogya Dham is dedicated to providing lodging and stay facilities for underprivileged cancer patients completely free of cost. Arogya Dham is the hospital’s way of further reassuring patients hailing from all nearby regions that no matter what happens, they will always be well taken care of.
The Launch
On the occasion of the New Year 2021, with new hope for the future, BMCHRC hosted the event for the inauguration of Arogya Dham. Presided over by the Chairman of the KGK Group, Mr Navrattan Kothari, Senior Vice Chairperson Mrs Anila Kothari and the Managing Trustee Vimal Chand Surana, the launch event celebrated a new chapter in the glorious history of the hospital. Speaking on this occasion, Mr Navrattan Kothari shed light on the efforts of the hospital to help patients belonging to the weaker strata. Talking about how decades of efforts have now resulted in the hospital’s current capacity of providing top-class services to those who need it the most but cannot afford it. Mrs Anila Kothari talked about the importance of a facility like Arogya Dham. Complete with all basic amenities, Arogya Dham has the capacity to accommodate 100 patients and will be managed by ‘Cancer Care,’ the women’s wing of BMCHRC.In light of the current conditions, the event featured only selected guests and followed all the important guidelines issued by the government to avoid the spread of COVID 19.

KGK Group has been known for their philanthropic effort to make lives better for everyone forming a part of the society. From holding regular free screenings in remote areas of Rajasthan and neighbouring states to providing necessary medicines to the patients at subsidised rates, BMCHRC has been involved in all spheres of cancer treatment for the needy.
KGK Group understands the needs of those who have been struck by the tragedy of cancer but don’t have the means to detect or treat it. Arogya Dham is a simple step, but it will have far-reaching effects towards bridging the gap between the extremes of society.
