There is an underlying common misconception that diamond industry causes a lot of pollution. While, in reality, it is less pollution-generating as compared to other sectors. Moreover, around the world, the mining operations are compact in size, and these leave a relatively small footprint on the land.According to some sources, lab-developed diamonds produce 511kg CO2 per carat, which is massive;whereas, natural diamonds emit 65% less carbon than lab-grown diamonds.
